Tirtha Bayu – Villa I
About this listing
Tirtha Bayu – Villa I – Six Bedroom Villa in Tanah Lot Bali
Tirtha Bayu – Villa I is located right above a picturesque beach in the serene Seseh-Tanah Lot region of south-west Bali. The area is blissfully semi-rural, with little development apart from a scattering of luxury villas, making it a great opportunity to glimpse traditional Balinese life. The black sand beach can be explored at low tide, but dangerous rips and submerged rocks make it unsuitable for swimming. A clifftop path just outside the villa leads to a small sea temple that clings to the craggy cliffs and is visible from the estate. Following the path around the headland, you will come to Pura Gede Luhur Batu Ngaus, a larger temple perched on a headland which makes an atmospheric spot for sunset (and a peaceful yet equally picturesque alternative to Tanah Lot). Small warungs with beanbags and rustic furnishing serve up cold beer, coconuts and local food.
Perched atop cliffs overlooking the peaceful Cemagi black sand beach in south-west Bali, Tirtha Bayu Estate comprises two stunning villas with a total of 11 ensuite, air-conditioned bedrooms.
With endless ocean views framed by coconut palms and frangipani trees, multiple indoor and outdoor living spaces, and welcoming staff including a private chef, this is your ideal choice for holidays with extended families, groups of friends and wedding parties.
Completed in 2022, the six-bedroom Villa I is modern in style and luxuriously furnished. The estate is a wonderful wedding venue and lends itself well to large gatherings in serene surroundings.
Nestled between emerald green rice fields and the glistening sea, Tirtha Bayu – Villa I is much more than a spectacular luxury coastal escape. It’s a unique opportunity to experience the Balinese Hindu concept of tri hita karana, ‘the three causes of happiness,’ defined by connection with nature, with people, and with god/the divine. Here in this breathtakingly beautiful spot, soothed by the sound of crashing waves, with ornate Hindu temples reached by scenic clifftop path, and the opportunity to reconnect with family and friends, your happiness is assured. Ultimately Tirtha Bayu – Villa I is a place of rejuvenation and restoration.
With neighbouring temples and rice fields to explore, Tirtha Bayu – Villa I gives a fascinating glimpse into traditional life in Bali. Welcoming local staff include a Villa Manager who will be happy to share cultural insights, while the talented private chef will prepare gourmet meals to preference.
Entry to Tirtha Bayu – Villa I is at ground level via a walkway flanked by koi ponds and water features, leading into a single-story pavilion with soaring ceilings. This area has two bedrooms and a lounge that flows seamlessly into the adjoining three-story pavilion to create an immense open-plan living area. Stairs lead up to a roof terrace and two guest bedrooms. Another lounge area, gym and two more bedrooms are located on the lower ground floor opening onto the gardens.
Bedrooms
The master bedroom on the first floor opens onto the rooftop terrace for morning cups of coffee with stupendous views. With a king-size bed, extensive ocean views, a large walk-in dressing room and a generous lounge area with sofa seating, the room is well-appointed for all your needs. The neighbouring deluxe room similarly opens onto the terrace and has a generously-sized bed, a writing table with two chairs and a built-in wardrobe.
Two deluxe king-bedded rooms adjoin the lounge on the ground floor. In addition to indoor showers tiled in creamy marble, both have enticing large outdoor garden showers fringed in lush foliage. Bali is all about indoor-outdoor living and Tirtha Bayu – Villa I embodies this lifestyle.
On the lower ground floor, an additional master bedroom opens onto the lawns with views straight out to the sea. It has a king-size bed for dreamy nights. The room also features a table with four chairs, Chesterfield armchairs, wall-to-ceiling robes and an opulent bathroom tiled in sleek black marble accessed via pintu gebyok – an elaborate Javanese carved teak door. A smaller deluxe bedroom shares similar ocean views, with glass sliding doors opening to the garden.
Indoor Living Area
The main entrance leads into an expansive, air-conditioned, open-plan lounge that flows into a dining room and open kitchen. The Lavish room is adorned with antiques, handwoven rugs and elaborated wood carvings. Enter and marvel at the entrance bale (Balinese-style pavilion) with a high-pitched roof and joglo-inspired, hand-carved teak ceiling that makes a striking design feature. Indulge in the sense of opulence, created with black Chesterfield loungers, oversized ottomans, and a baby grand piano.
There’s never a dull moment here with games of billiards and incessant chatter around the ten-seater, wooden dining table. Make your morning coffee in the fully equipped modern guest kitchen with sleek grey marble counters, a coffee machine and island bench, while the kids eat at the rectangular breakfast table by your side. Wherever you go though, floor to ceiling glass windows and doors reveal pool and ocean views, reminding you that you are in blissful Bali. Movie nights are best enjoyed in the dark and sumptuous home theatre featuring dark blue walls, sofa seating, a 70-inch, flat-screen satellite-channel TV, DVD player and evocative Balinese artwork.
A wide starcase descends into a second, air-conditioned living area that opens onto the lawn. This is a great space for adults to socialise as you settle into the leather sofas or sit around the four-seaterreound dining table. A 65-inch flat-screen satellite-channel TV offers background entertainment or music. Keep fit by working out in the gym, separated from the living area by glass panels, with a three-in-one home gym station including weights and a punching bag, plus a bathroom and exercise mats.
Outdoor Living Area
Bali is all about outdoor living and Tirtha Bayu – Villa I embodies tropical living. Myriad alfresco areas overlook the pool, blue ocean and tropical gardens brimming with hibiscus, heliconia and golden-tipped frangipani. Spend your days in the covered veranda that wraps around the round dining table that seats five. A spacious, open-air garden bale begs for evening cocktails, set amidst koi ponds and water fountains and furnished with plush arm chairs and a small dining table.
14-metre swimming pool is fringed with a timber sun deck, dotted with sun loungers and umbrellas, boasting views that reach out to the ocean. Head upstairs to the expansive rooftop terrace accessed by a spiral staircase and take in panoramic views of rice fields, volcanos and a neighbouring Hindu temple clinging onto rocks.
